President Donald Trump and members of his Cabinet were rushed out and evacuated on Saturday night after shots were fired at the White House Correspondents\u2019 Dinner in Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n
Vice President JD Vance and members of Trump\u2019s Cabinet, who were also in attendance, were also rushed out. Also among the officials in the room for this dinner was the acting attorney general, Todd Blanche.<\/p>\n
The White House press pool, the group of reporters that travels with the president, is reporting that the president is still at the Washington hotel that serves as the setting for the correspondent\u2019s dinner. \u201cThe pool is still at the Hilton as of 8:56, which means POTUS hadn\u2019t departed yet,\u201d according to the pool report.<\/p>\n
A source told CNN that Trump is safe. According to an administration official, Cabinet members are OK as well.<\/p>\n
The Secret Service whisked President Trump off the stage. Authorities detained the shooter.<\/p>\n

We are hearing reports the shooter is detained and President Trump will be returning to dinner.
