So this thing was just sitting there. Silent. Alien. Wrong.<\/p>\n

On the cold bathroom tiles, my girlfriend and I stared at it like it might suddenly move. It looked like flesh and fungus had a baby.<\/p>\n

We argued, we Googled, we whispered worst-case scenarios. The more we zoomed in, the less it made sense. And then we fin\u2026 Continues\u2026<\/p>\n

By the time we\u2019d run through every nightmare scenario \u2014 parasite, mutant mold, some kind of rotting animal part \u2014 the bathroom<\/p>\n

felt like a crime scene. My girlfriend kept asking if it was dangerous, if we should call someone,<\/p>\n

if it meant something was horribly wrong with the apartment. I tried to sound calm, but my skin was crawling every time I looked at it.<\/p>\n

When we finally learned it was just a slime mold, harmless and weirdly common in damp places, the fear didn\u2019t disappear instantly.<\/p>\n

Relief mixed with this lingering unease, like the world had quietly admitted it still had secrets hiding in plain sight.<\/p>\n

We cleaned it up, aired out the bathroom, laughed it off in that shaky way you do after a scare.<\/p>\n

But now, every time I step onto those tiles, I glance down \u2014<\/p>\n
