Early detection can mean the difference between life-saving treatment and a fatal delay.<\/p>\n<p>Regular dental check-ups twice a year, quitting smoking, avoiding tobacco chewing, limiting alcohol, and acting fast on warning signs\u2014<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-2\"><\/div>\n<p>non-healing sores, loose teeth, mouth or throat pain, difficulty swallowing, earaches, sudden neck lumps, numbness, or unexplained weight loss\u2014<\/p>\n<p>can completely change the outcome.
