Since her mother, Nancy Guthrie, was apparently kidnapped in Tucson, Arizona, on the weekend of January 31, the long-time co-anchor of Today has not been on the air.<\/p>\n

Nancy Guthrie, who is 84 and has a heart condition, has not been seen or heard from since. Right now, the Pima County Sheriff\u2019s Office and the FBI haven\u2019t made any serious leads public.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wanted you to know that I\u2019m still standing, and I still have hope, and I\u2019m still me. I don\u2019t know what version of me that will be, but it will be,\u201d Guthrie told the Today team during her visit.<\/p>\n

It was unclear whether Guthrie would return to work on Today, but during her visit, she said she does plan to return, although she isn\u2019t sure how it will all work out.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have every intention of coming back. I don\u2019t know how to come back, but I don\u2019t know how not to. You\u2019re my family, and I would like to try,\u201d Guthrie told the team, per Today.<\/p>\n

Guthrie\u2019s return to the show has not yet been set. Hoda Kotb and Sheinelle Jones, both of whom went to school with Guthrie, have mostly taken her place today, along with her co-anchor Craig Melvin.<\/p>\n

It was revealed during Savannah Guthrie\u2019s visit that meteorologist Dylan Dreyer led the team in a prayer in which they said, \u201cWe\u2019re here holding hands as a family in a place where we don\u2019t understand why this is happening.\u201d Every day, it\u2019s not too much to ask God for the biggest miracles.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt felt like the right moment for all of us,\u201d Dreyer said on Friday\u2019s show to leading the prayer. \u201cWhen I feel helpless, I pray\u2026 We asked for that miracle.\u201d Dreyer also said it was their \u201cgift\u201d to give Guthrie the love and support in that moment.<\/p>\n

BACK ON SET: Savannah Guthrie returned to the \u201cToday\u201d show studio Thursday for the first time since her mother, Nancy Guthrie, went missing in a suspected abduction.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think we needed to see her as much as she needed to see us,\u201d co-anchor Al Roker added of the reunion that fellow anchor Carson Daly noted wasn\u2019t planned.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe came into the middle, no speech, spoke from the heart. Said the most perfect words you could ever imagine and looked every one of this family in the eyes,\u201d Daly said. \u201cYesterday was one of the most special days not just in our lives professionally but personally.\u201d<\/p>\n

Laura Jarrett praised Guthrie for still being herself despite the \u201cnightmare\u201d she is living: \u201cShe\u2019s still Savannah. She\u2019s still funny. She was still cracking jokes. She was still sarcastic.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHer grace is second to none under pressure,\u201d Daly added.<\/p>\n

When talking about Guthrie\u2019s possible return, co-anchor Jenna Bush Hager said, \u201cEven though it feels like the hardest thing to do, it\u2019s also her home and where she feels so loved, and she is beyond loved here.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jones added, \u201cI hugged her, and I\u2019m like,e \u2018you know what you are here, and we love you. Everyone loves you, and whenever you\u2019re ready, we are here.\u201d<\/p>\n
