Nancy was last seen on Saturday, and concern mounted when she didn\u2019t show up to church on Sunday, prompting a friend to alert authorities.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-9\">\n<div id=\"ternalnews.com_responsive_2\" data-google-query-id=\"\">\n<div id=\"google_ads_iframe_\/23201474937\/ternalnews.com\/ternalnews.com_responsive_2_0__container__\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Search-and-rescue teams have been scouring the area both on the ground and from the air since then. On Sunday, February 1, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos held a press conference to provide details. While a homicide team was brought in to assist, investigators initially had no confirmed signs of criminal activity.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-10\">\n<div id=\"anchorslot\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-4\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re throwing everything we have at this case,\u201d Sheriff Nanos said. \u201cNancy Guthrie is 84 and not in good physical health, which is a serious concern. What we\u2019re seeing at the residence is troubling, and detectives are examining the scene thoroughly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Savannah Guthrie did not appear on the Today show on Monday. In a statement shared with the program, she said:<br \/>\n\u201cOn behalf of our family, I want to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, and messages of support. Right now, our focus remains on the safe return of our dear mom.
