Surprising new Trump approval ratings reveal the true American opinion, featuring unexpected results from one state

Trump’s Approval Ratings Drop Amid Ongoing Challenges

Recent Polls Show Decline

New data reveals that Donald Trump’s approval ratings have slipped in recent months. A poll conducted earlier this month, five months after Trump returned to the Oval Office, showed only 45% of voters approve of his presidency. Meanwhile, 46% disapprove, and 9% remain unsure.

This marks a slight drop from January, when his approval stood at 49%, according to Daily Boulder.

Public Opinion on the Country’s Direction

The survey from Emerson College also found that 53% of Americans believe the country is headed in the wrong direction, while 48% feel it’s on the right track.

Looking ahead to next year’s midterm elections, Democrats hold a slight lead. Emerson’s Spencer Kimball said, “Independents favor the Democratic candidate 37% to 27%, but 36% remain undecided, so these numbers could change.”

Texas Poll Signals Trouble in a GOP Stronghold

Another poll by the University of Texas and Texas Politics Project paints a similar picture. It reports a 44% approval rating for Trump, with 51% disapproving—notable since Texas traditionally favors Republicans.

Fox News highlighted specific concerns:

  • 51% disapproved of Trump’s handling of the economy.

  • 52% disapproved of his handling of inflation and prices.

Among Republicans in Texas, approval remains high at 87%, though it dropped slightly from 89% in April.

Trump’s Recent Actions and Global Tensions

These polls were conducted before Trump’s recent involvement in the Iran-Israel conflict. Earlier this week, Trump brokered a ceasefire after launching airstrikes on Iranian nuclear sites, which triggered retaliatory strikes on US bases in Qatar and Iraq.

At a recent NATO summit, Trump described Iran’s warning before their attack:
“They were very nice. They gave us warning… ‘Is 1 o’clock okay?’ I said, ‘It’s fine.’” He praised the US defense systems for intercepting 14 out of 14 missiles aimed at the base in Qatar.

Summary

Trump’s approval ratings reflect growing public skepticism amid economic concerns and international tensions. However, his decisive actions abroad and continued support among core Republicans keep the political landscape dynamic ahead of upcoming elections.
