For the occasion, Michael kept his look classic in a navy suit paired with an open-collared white shirt and black leather shoes. Walking beside him was Carys, who turned heads in an elegant all-black outfit featuring a fitted strapless top, wide-leg trousers with lace detailing, metallic heels, and delicate gold jewelry.
Rather than arriving separately, the father and daughter smiled for photographers together and were even seen holding hands on the red carpet, a sweet moment that highlighted their close relationship.

After graduating from Brown University with a degree in Film and International Relations, she has begun pursuing opportunities in the performing arts, something she previously said had long been a passion. Speaking to People last year, Carys explained that although she didn’t study acting in college, theater has always been part of her life.
“I grew up doing theater, and I didn’t study acting in school, but that’s why I’m happy to be in such an informative arts space, so hopefully more of that,” she said.

Carys’ ambitions extend beyond acting. According to Hello!, the 23-year-old recently announced that she was looking for playwrights to submit original works, with the selected project set to be produced by her and staged at an Off-Broadway theater in New York City.
The move reflects her broader interest in storytelling, something that aligns with the Film and International Relations degree she earned from Brown University. Even as her profile continues to grow, Carys has made it clear that she’s determined to establish herself through her own work rather than simply relying on her family’s Hollywood legacy.
In a 2018 interview with Town & Country, she said, “I think what bothers me the most is that people think I don’t work hard for it, that I don’t need to work hard for it. That anything I do gets handed to me.”
She continued, “When, honestly, I feel like it’s the opposite. I feel I need to constantly prove myself to people — that I am not just my parents’ daughter.”
That determination has already translated into a growing list of creative projects. Before making her professional stage debut, Carys appeared in the 2024 short film “[expletive] That Guy“ alongside Victoria Pedretti and later took on another role in the short film “Shell.“

Michael has also spoken in the past about how becoming a father later in life reshaped his priorities. Reflecting on parenthood in an interview previously cited by People, the actor said raising his children changed the way he viewed both his career and his life.
“My career was the most important thing in my life, followed by marriage and children. And it’s completely reversed now. I never anticipated starting a family and the joy of raising kids at my age.”
In another 2024 interview, Michael Douglas also reflected on how he and Catherine were adjusting as their children left home. Looking ahead to their milestone anniversary, he said, “Catherine and I have been together it’ll be 25 years this year.”
“So it’s been a good ride, and I’ve been very fortunate, happy with the choices that I’ve made and now am kind of really backing off and smelling the roses a little more, traveling more.”
