Failed elections, a years-long lawsuit that drained everything she had, political doors that kept closing one after another — and through all of it Sarah Palin never once asked for sympathy or waited for anyone to rescue her. She has signaled she still wants to serve, still has something left to say and is actively pushing for a role in the current administration — and the woman doing the pushing looks lighter, more confident and more at peace than she has at any point in the last decade. Some people shrink when life keeps hitting them. Sarah Palin just keeps showing up.
