Donald Trump names one country that could be targeted next

Tensions continue to rise, and fresh concerns have been sparked about potential military action after Donald Trump hinted that Cuba could “be next.”

Since stepping into his second term as president, Donald Trump has overseen a series of major developments. He has launched several military operations, and tensions in the Middle East remain high.

But it’s not just the conflict in Iran drawing widespread attention. Earlier this year, Trump faced criticism from European allies after making clear his interest in acquiring Greenland. He even suggested military action if Denmark refused, though he later softened his stance.

Beyond that, he has ordered strikes against ISIS in Somalia, overseen the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, and publicly criticized Mexico and Colombia for failing to control drug cartels – just a few examples of the geopolitical issues his administration has been involved in.

Trump: “Cuba is next”

Now, he has sparked fresh concern after reportedly suggesting Cuba could be his next target. Speaking at a summit in Miami on Saturday, Trump said: “Cuba is next,” according to Reuters.

He has also previously described Cuba’s leadership as “sinister forces of communism and evil.”

The comments come amid his long-standing criticism of Cuba, which he has repeatedly labeled an “enemy.” Cuba – already grappling with a severe food and energy crisis – responded by saying it is prepared to respond to any potential invasion, according to VT.

Trump has also introduced strict tariffs targeting countries supplying oil to Cuba, a move that has had serious consequences for the island’s already fragile economy.

Speaking in the Oval Office previously, Trump said: “I do believe I’ll be having the honor of taking Cuba. That’s a big honor. Taking Cuba in some form,” according to VT.
