Wrestler and Fox News personality Tyrus may be known for his imposing presence in the ring, but behind the scenes, he’s just a family man — and his wife, Ingrid Murdoch, is the one calling the shots.
They may have only made it official in January 2024, but the couple has been inseparable for over ten years. From launching fitness brands to building a full-on reptile zoo at home, their relationship is anything but ordinary.
From Personal Trainer to CEO
Before becoming Mrs. Tyrus, Ingrid Murdoch — formerly Rinck — made a name for herself in fitness. After losing 150 pounds through diet and exercise, she created The Rinck Routine and a healthy meal prep company, Sensible Meals.
Her business was born from personal experience — her son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, and she started making portion-controlled meals to help him manage it.
In 2024, she publicly cut ties with her birth name, writing on Instagram, “Don’t ever want to be attached to a Rinck again in life,” and announced a major rebrand of her programs.
Surprise Proposal After “Marriage”?
Although the two had long referred to each other as husband and wife, Tyrus made it official in April 2020 with a surprise proposal and a stunning emerald and diamond ring.
“This woman is my everything… It’s never too late to make things right,” he wrote on X.
Their legal marriage certificate was filed in January 2024 — a full decade after they welcomed their daughter, Georgie.
A Backyard Zoo Like No Other
Forget dogs and cats. The Murdoch-Tyrus household is home to snakes, turtles, lizards, chameleons and exotic fish — all part of what Tyrus calls the “Tyrus-zilla Zoo.”
While Ingrid initially wanted nothing to do with animals, she eventually took over the entire operation. She even installed thunderstorm sounds at night to encourage breeding and now runs the home zoo like a pro, delegating responsibilities to their kids.
“If I’m going to take something over, it’s going to be done right,” she said.
