Many homeowners deal with hard water stains in their toilets, especially those reddish-orange rings that build up on ceramic surfaces.
Even with a water softener, hard water can leave stubborn marks — but removing them is surprisingly easy.
All you need is distilled white vinegar. Start by scooping the water out of the toilet bowl so the stain is exposed.
Then pour in enough vinegar to fully cover the hard-water ring. Let it sit for two to three hours. After soaking, scrub lightly with a toilet brush.
Once you flush, the stain should disappear, leaving the bowl clean with very little effort.
It’s a quick, simple method that uses a common household product and saves you from harsh chemicals or expensive cleaners.
