Early Thursday morning, chaos erupted at Corewell Health Beaumont
Troy Hospital, about 24 miles north of Detroit, after reports of an active shooter.
The incident began around 7 a.m., prompting a
rapid police response and a shelter-in-place order as staff barricaded themselves inside.
A 25-year-old man was shot twice in the arm but is now in stable condition after receiving treatment.
Five shots were discharged in the hospital’s parking lot, one striking a nearby vehicle watch below..
