UN Escalator Mishap
Donald and Melania Trump got “stuck” on an escalator at the UN when it suddenly stopped.
Videos show them stepping onto stairs instead, holding the handrail.
Technical Glitches
Earlier, Trump’s teleprompter failed, and the sound system also had issues.
Trump later called the incidents “triple sabotage” on Truth Social, saying,
“A REAL DISGRACE took place at the United Nations yesterday —
Not one, not two, but three very sinister events!”
White House and UN Responses
The White House reportedly demanded an investigation, warning there would be “accountability” if the stoppage was intentional.
The UN said the escalator malfunction was caused by a safety mechanism being inadvertently activated and partially blamed the White House for the other issues.
Trump’s Take
Trump downplayed the chaos during his speech, commenting: “All I got from the United Nations was an escalator that on the way up stopped right in the middle… And then a teleprompter that didn’t work.”
