Melania Trump’s hairstylist shares a glimpse of the First Lady’s “unexpectedly warm side” away from the public eye

First Lady Melania Trump is often seen as reserved and enigmatic in public, but according to her hairstylist Lino Carbosiero, the woman behind the headlines is warm, considerate, and incredibly kind.

Carbosiero, who styled Melania’s hair during a UK state visit and later in Beirut, opened up on ITV’s Lorraine about what the First Lady is really like when the cameras aren’t rolling.

“I see a completely different side to what people try and say about her,” Lino said. “She’s so warm and considerate. My assistants that I take with me — she constantly asks them if they’re okay, if they want anything to drink. She’ll hug you. She’s so nice, it’s unbelievable.”

A softer, funnier Melania

For years, Melania has been described in the press as aloof or distant, but those who work with her say the reality is far different.

“Privately she’s really funny, she’s intelligent, and most of all, she’s respectful,” Lino shared. “She’s just a lovely person, she really is.”

He added that much of her guarded public demeanor comes from being constantly judged. “They’re judged so much that it makes them a little reserved,” he explained.

A bond with Donald Trump

Beyond her kindness toward staff, Lino also revealed that Melania and President Donald Trump share a surprising tenderness.

“They have a cheekiness together, very loving… they really have this little bond, it’s sweet actually,” he said.

It’s a side of their marriage the public rarely sees, one marked by affection and lightheartedness.

Treating staff like family

For Lino, what stands out most about working with the Trumps is how well they treat the people around them.

“That’s a big thing, because many celebrities and famous people don’t,” he noted. “But they’re so nice behind the scenes. When you’re working with someone at 5, 6 in the morning, where there are no cameras, there’s no show — that’s when you see them in their natural state.”

And for Melania, that natural state is far from the “frozen” image some imagine. According to those who know her best, she’s approachable, thoughtful, and endlessly kind, proving once again that behind the polished public image, there’s a First Lady with a very real, very human heart.
