FSU Linebacker Shot, Remains in Critical Condition
Florida State freshman linebacker Ethan Pritchard is in critical but stable condition after a sh**ting on Sunday night. The sh**ting happened shortly after the team’s win over Alabama.
Details of the Incident
According to the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office, the sh**ting occurred in Havana, Florida, about 16 miles from Tallahassee. At the time, Pritchard was visiting family. A statement from FSU said he was sitting in a vehicle outside an apartment building when someone sh*t him. Paramedics found Pritchard wounded in the car and took him to a nearby hospital’s intensive care unit.
Coach Norvell Addresses the Team
FSU head coach Mike Norvell spoke with reporters on Monday. He called the situation “tragic.”
“I was at the hospital this morning until the early hours,” Norvell said. “Ethan’s dad gave me permission to share an update with the team.” The coach then gathered the team to provide an update.
The university also posted a message on its official X account, confirming Pritchard’s condition. The post noted that he suffered a g*nsh*t wo*nd to the head while visiting family.
A Look at Pritchard’s Background
Pritchard, a native of Sanford, Florida, enrolled at FSU in January. He did not play in the Seminoles’ season-opening win against Alabama on Saturday.
FSU shared a statement from the Pritchard family. “The Pritchard family thanks everyone for their support and the care from first responders and medical professionals,” the statement read. “They ask that you respect their privacy at this time. We will provide further updates as they become available.”
