It seems that every presidential election year that are some celebrities who thr**ten to leave the United States if the candidate they support isn’t elected. Some celebrities have held true to their word including Ellen DeGeneres andRosie O’Donnell.
Talk show host Jimmy Kimmel might be the next celebrity to join them. On a recent episode of Sarah Silverman’s podcast, Kimmel shared that he has obtained Italian citizenship.
Silverman said, “A lot of people I know are thinking about where are they going to get citizenship?”
Kimmel responded, “I did get Italian citizenship.”
In order to get Italian citizenship, he had to prove his ancestral lineage.
Why exactly did want to leave the country? He’s not a fan of President Trump. Speaking about Trump’s second term, he explained, “What’s going on is as bad as you thought it was gonna be.”
Silverman agreed with him by saying it’s “way worse.”
Kimmel stated, “It’s so much worse; it’s just unbelievable.” He added, “I feel like it’s probably even worse than he would like it to be.”
While Kimmel is not a fan of Trump, it goes both ways. In fact, The Daily Beast reports that in June, Trump was happy about the news that CBS canceled Stephen Colbert’s show, The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. In response, he warned Kimmel that he was next.
In a Truth Social post, Trump wrote, “Next up will be an even less talented Jimmy Kimmel, and then, a weak, and very insecure, Jimmy Fallon. The only real question is, who will go first?”

The next question is if Kimmel will decide to move to Italy. Do you think he will move to Italy? Does it surprise you that some celebrities have actually moved to other countries as a result of the presidential election?
