FBI Director’s 26-Year-Old Girlfriend Fires Back At Critics Over Their Sh0cking 19-Year Age Gap

Country singer Alexis Wilkins, 26, is brushing off criticism over the 19-year age gap with her boyfriend, FBI director Kash Patel, 45.

The pair began dating in January 2023 after meeting at a mutual friend’s house party in Nashville. Since then, Wilkins has balanced her time between pursuing her music career in Nashville and spending time with Patel in Washington, D.C., according to the Daily Beast.

Wilkins told the Daily Mail she views her romance as no different from any other relationship in her social circle.

“There are a lot of people in this administration with age differences. There are a lot of people out there with age differences,” the country star admitted.

The age gaps in MAGAworld start at the top — President Donald Trump, 79, is 24 years older than First Lady Melania, 55.

In January, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, 27, married Nicholas Riccio, 59, just days before Trump’s inauguration, marking a 32-year difference between them.

Wilkins said their relationship feels natural to them, their friends, and those close to them, and she sees no reason to defend it. She also addressed online claims branding her a “honeypot,” dismissing accusations that she is attempting to influence Patel.

“I’ve blocked the word ‘honeypot’ from my Instagram comments, if that tells you anything,” she said.

Wilkins noted she was already dating Patel before his move from serving as an aide to President Trump to becoming FBI director, adding that the “honeypot” claims would imply she had been executing “a huge long game.”

Speaking about the future, Wilkins told the Daily Mail the couple is “on a good path” when asked about a possible engagement, adding that they’ve spent the past few months enjoying a more normal life after the whirlwind of President Donald Trump’s second term’s early months.

Alexis Wilkins is a Nashville-based country singer-songwriter who fuses classic country with modern flair. Born in 1998, she began performing early, building her skills through local shows, songwriting, and recording. Drawing on personal experiences and Southern storytelling, she’s cultivated a loyal following. On Spotify, Wilkins has around 6,000 followers and 9,500 monthly listeners, with her 2023 track “Quite Like Whiskey” becoming her most popular song, earning over 440,000 streams.
