As Trump walked the roof, reporters called up to him. ABC News captured the moment when one shouted, “Mr. President, what are you doing up there?” Trump replied, “Just taking a little walk.”

When asked about any construction, he said, “It goes with the ballroom, which is on the other side… something beautiful,” gesturing to the surroundings.

Photos and videos showed Trump animatedly discussing plans with architect James C. McCrery and aides. He pointed out areas on the roof slated for renovation, turning the unexpected walk into a memorable moment.

Trump spread his arms wide while addressing the press, waved down from above, and interacted with staff and security throughout the tour. The scene offered a glimpse of a president personally inspecting the historic grounds.

Signing the Executive Order for the 2028 Olympics Task Force

Following the rooftop tour, Trump moved inside to the South Court Auditorium. There, he signed an executive order establishing a task force to support the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
